$1.54 MILK AT CVS

When I started playing the "CVS Game" I would come up with a negative balance at the register and throw in a few candy bars from the check-out line to bring my total up to zero or a few cents. It wasn't long before I realized that the candy bar idea was not the brightest idea. It dawned on me that our money would be better spent to buy something that I know we will buy sometime that week even without a coupon. So now when I head out for my Sunday zero balance shopping at CVS I make sure to grab some milk before I head to the check-out counter!

I've decided that whatever the total on my CVS reciept says is how much I paid for milk that day. The other stuff in my hand was free. :-)

Today I thought to myself, as I walked out of the CVS store,

"Wow I got this milk for only $1.54"

What else did I walk out of the store with...FOR FREE...

Two bags of sundries including a razor that would otherwise cost $10, some yummy smelling Soft Soap body wash, 4 bags of Nestle Egg Easter Candy for the boys' Easter baskets, 3 bars of Irish Spring soap, Tresemme Hairspray, AND as It turns out I had to "buy" candy bars anyway because lo-and-behold I had a coupon for 4 Nestle bars. I got all of this free AND I got $13 in ECB's to use next week.

One candy bar is missing. :-)

1 WHAT'S YOUR TWO CENTS?:

I love this idea. I'd add that you can get butter, creamer, bread, etc. I'll have to make it my thing, too.
