We are another one of those kooky homeschooling, foster, birth and adoptive families who believe in Jesus and have more than 2.5 children. This blog is a mix of many things. Please keep in mind that this blog is written for my children. When I've gone the way of the dodo bird they will have this to read. Hopefully it serves as our family scrapbook...because I'm not buying any more stinking wavy scissors and stickers! Just print this blog on photo paper and stick it in a photo album kids. 4TH OF JULY AT OUR HOUSE

The 4th of July weekend is one of the best holidays for our family. That is one holiday when we know that we don't have to travel anywhere and the weekend will be spent with our own family having fun. We don't even have to travel to see fireworks!

All we have to do to see the best display is walk outside our back door, plop down at our patio table and look up. People all around our neighborhood let off "the big" fireworks at random for hours from 10:00pm on. We never know which way to look because the show is all around us.

In Michigan it is illegal to use fireworks that
make noise or leave the ground, so of course people do it anyway and we get to see some extravagant fireworks without getting stuck in traffic. LOL

I took a little video and a few pictures of last night's festivities. The kids were just getting over a virus so this is just the thing to bring them back from their fevering days. Brisan helped to light his little brother's sparklers and lit most of the fireworks this year. video

Our yard was littered with casings. He had a lot of fun being "dangerous." We even let Vinze light a few this year because he is 8 years old now, so that means he gets to light matches and "be dangerous" now too. They love turning 8 in this house. LOL

Man, I just can't believe my life. How sweet.
