We are another one of those kooky homeschooling, foster, birth and adoptive families who believe in Jesus and have more than 2.5 children. This blog is a mix of many things. Please keep in mind that this blog is written for my children. When I've gone the way of the dodo bird they will have this to read. Hopefully it serves as our family scrapbook...because I'm not buying any more stinking wavy scissors and stickers! Just print this blog on photo paper and stick it in a photo album kids. TODAY'S HOMESCHOOL FREEBIE: K THRU 12 CURRICULUM

TODAY'S HOMESCHOOL FREEBIE IS...

OLD FASHIONED EDUCATION CURRICULUM

This site is a no nonsense blast from the past FREE curriculum for ages Kindergarten - Senior year. You may need to use your local library for some of the books but it is absolutely feasible that all of the schooling needed for a well rounded education can be done using only this site. Some planning and fiddling will have to be done but what curriculum doesn't need some time management and focus?

There is a Yahoo group to help with any questions. This is one of my better finds if I do say so myself. :o)
HAPPY FREE HOMESCHOOLING!

Hi Mom

Do you school the kids all year round? Or do you do it according to the school board's schedule? I have only ever known two people who home schooled and how you are the third, bless your sole!

I did not have the patience with mine to even get through homework let alone teach them from home!! hehehe

Hi Soccermom, :-)

You know it takes less patience to homeschool than it does to do homework and I'll tell you why. Homework has to be done in time for a test. That is stressful.

Homeschooling allows the kids to learn the material at their own pace. We don't have to take tests or pace with any other person than themselves. They mature into the material as they grow.

It is MUCH less stressful than when we had the kids in school. We take off July and December. We also take breaks throughout the year at will. It's such a freeing way of life...Oh I think you would have loved it. :o) But I'm a bit biased. LOL

Oh no...I feel a post coming on. LOL
